WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!

Postdoctoral fellow (m/f/d) with experience in mass spectrometry

We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow with experience in mass spectrometry.

You will be involved in the proteomic analysis of exosomes and immune cells using cutting-edge mass spectrometry to identify unique proteomic signatures that are predictive of immune-mediated diseases. Are you the highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoc to join our dynamic team and to help us with this project? We would like to get to know you!

You will be part of the therawis team composed of experts in molecular biology, cell biology, flow cytometry, mass spectrometry, immunology and oncology. As a postdoctoral fellow you will be working within the research & development unit of therawis diagnostics embedded in the collaborative network with Bruker Daltonics, the group of Prof. Andreas Pichlmair, mass spectrometry, Institute of Virology, Technical University of Munich (https://innatelab.org) ), and Prof. Percy Knolle, Institute for Immunology, Technical University of Munich (https://www.imi.med.tum.de/de). You will be physically based in the research laboratories of therawis diagnostics in the center of Munich, Bavaria, Germany.

This position is at the heart of our academic and Bruker public-private partnership. You will be part of regular project meetings held with the other project members. You will have direct support from application, R&D and clinical experts of our partners in the project.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for running the mass spectrometry facility at therawis diagnostics
  • Processing of clinical samples from patients and initial data analysis
  • Participation in the development of bioinformatic tools to identify exosome signatures predictive of immune-mediated diseases
  • Disseminate project results via presentations at scientific meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Share project results and align technical developments with the therawis team and their partners

We invite you to join us in our mission to create a healthy future for all.

Your Profile

You hold an academic degree (PhD) in the area of chemistry, biology or physics, preferably with a background in mass spectrometry. You are experienced in operating mass spectrometry equipment and subsequent data analysis. You possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have the capacity to communicate high-level expert knowledge at different levels with team members.
